Taff’s Well RFC agree new three-year kit deal with Canterbury

Taff’s Well RFC are delighted to announce a new three-year kit deal with global rugby kit giant Canterbury, to supply the matchday and off-field kit to all of Taff’s Well RFC’s teams and the supporters’ merchandise.

The new First XV kit launching today celebrates our Lions Origin Club status and, fittingly, Taff’s Well, Wales and Lions legend, Steve Fenwick was on hand to launch the jersey. Canterbury ‘Lions Origin Club’ kit is only available to clubs who have produced a British and Irish Lions player and with this kit we recognise our most famous sons– Bleddyn Williams, Ian ‘Ike’ Stephens and Steve Fenwick himself, all of whom represented Taff’s Well and went on to play for Wales and the Lions.

The new kit features the First XV team sponsors for 2023-24 – Heath Windows Ltd, MGY, Involve Recruitment and Jon Barry Building Services.

President Phil Steele said: “We are delighted to enter into this 3-year arrangement with a rugby kit giant like Canterbury, and it’s great that this launch kit recognises our Club’s illustrious history and the players who have pulled on the jersey and gone on to international honours. I hope this jersey will inspire the current and future Taff’s Well players – of all ages and sexes – to do great things in their rugby careers”

Club Chair Gareth Rees added: “It’s fantastic that players from our illustrious history, Phil Steele and Steve Fenwick can be here today to launch the jersey that we hope inspires the next generation.
