It is with the greatest sadness that we have to announce the passing of our former Chairman, President and great friend, Mr Ray Ferris at the age of 84 on Friday 26th March 2021.
Ray began his friendship with Taff’s Well RFC many years ago and forged strong links with the different rugby sections at the Club. His generosity is well known, giving free buses to the teams for away games and of course the many tours. His sponsorship again to all sections was unrivalled and appreciated by all.
Ray served as Chairman and Club President for many years and his contribution in ensuring a good future for our Club cannot be underestimated. He had many friends at Taff’s Well RFC and within the village community and some special friends who he enjoyed socialising with over so many years. They will miss him along with everyone at our Club.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family. Arrangements for Ray’s funeral will be announced at a later time.
