Terms and Conditions

Taff’s Well RFC welcomes schools, clubs and other organisations to hire and use our facilities and pitches for all types of events. However, in order to ensure we maintain our spaces and continue to be able to offer the best facilities in South Wales, we ask you to abide by the following terms and conditions.

Pre-Hire

  • All bookings should be made through our Club Manager, Lauren Griffiths, via Facebook or email at lgriffiths@taffswellrfc.co.uk. We will ask for a named contact who takes responsibility for the event on the day.
  • We will discuss your requirements at booking and we will try to accommodate any requests you have. Some requests – such as catering, or having the bar open – will come at additional cost. Lauren is happy to discuss detail with you.
  • We require all payments upfront. Payments will secure the booking.
  • Facility Hire – You may cancel or amend your booking at any time up to the event but cancellations within 72 hours will be charged at 50% of the booking fee. Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged at the full cost of hire.
  • Pitch Hire – The cancellation terms and conditions are as per Facility Hire.
  • Taff’s Well RFC take the quality and maintenance of our pitches seriously. We therefore must reserve the right to cancel up to 24 hours ahead of your booking if inclement weather or other factors are likely to risk pitch damage. We commit to communicating fully with you in the period leading up to your use of the pitch if there is a high chance we will need to cancel due to adverse weather or damaging pitch conditions.

During the Hire

  • We want you to enjoy your event and enjoying using our facilities so please do treat our Club with respect and leave it as you found it.
  • We do not tolerate any form of abuse or harassment of our staff, any of the Taff’s Well RFC team, or our members. Anyone caught in contravention of this will be asked to leave immediately and may, at our discretion, be banned from the Club.
  • Pitch Hire – Please exercise good judgement when using the pitch/pitches to preserve pitch quality. We expect warm-ups to take place either on pitch 2, or in the space between pitches 1 and 2. Please keep repetitive drills – e.g. skills squares – to a minimum and keep them off pitch 1 entirely. If we consider that appropriate due care has not been taken during the course of a hire, we may decide not to take your booking in the future. If you need any advice on good practice when using the pitch, please ask Lauren for further information and one of the team will get back to you before your event.

Post-Hire

  • Please leave the facilities as you found them, removing any litter and undertaking a basic clean.
  • Please report any issues/damage caused during your hire - we can put it right.
  • Please feedback to us on your experience! We want to make our Club your destination of choice for your events or functions and we welcome your comments.
